From Commitment to Action: Reflecting on One Year of the Green Digital Action Declaration
Time: 11 November, 18:30 – 19:30
Venue: Amazônia na Cuia Marco (Restaurant), Av. Duque de Caxias, 1444 – Marco, Belém
Background and Objective
One year after the adoption of the COP29 Declaration on Green Digital Action, this informal session offered an opportunity for GDA partners, supporters, and key stakeholders to reconnect, reflect, and discuss the journey so far.
Over the past two years, the Green Digital Action (GDA) initiative – powered by ITU and co-created by partners – has grown into a vibrant global platform bringing together governments, industry, and civil society to advance the digital sustainability agenda. From policy commitments to technical pilots, GDA has become a bridge between the digital and climate communities.
This gathering provided a space for informal exchange, collective reflection, and forward-looking discussion on how to sustain the momentum generated since COP29. Participants revisited the outcomes of the High-Level Roundtable: Leadership and Action Towards a Green Digital Future (taking place the day before) and discussed next steps to strengthen collaboration, deepen impact, and deliver concrete progress ahead of COP31.
